Background
Leadtrekker was born out of real frustration. Leads kept falling through the cracks when we tracked them in email and Excel. Bloated CRMs were no better – too complex and overpriced.
So, we built our own from scratch: a clean, cloud-based lead management system made for South African businesses. It’s simple, easy to use and zeros in on what matters which is automating sales processes, full transparency and real accountability. We didn’t just fix our own headache. We also gave our marketing clients the tool they’d been missing. Ultimately,
Leadtrekker improves lead response times, boosts team accountability and ensures every new prospect gets actioned.
Objective
We wanted a brand and product that felt simple, trustworthy and proudly local. Something that screamed “built in South Africa for South African businesses” while looking sharp enough to compete anywhere. The goal was a recognisable name, a no-fuss identity and a website that converts visitors into users.
The Challenges
- Starting from zero: No existing brand, no logo, no visuals and a full custom SaaS to build.
- Standing out in a crowded market: Lead tools and CRMs are everywhere, so we needed to highlight affordability, simplicity and local relevance.
- Making it feel professional yet approachable: Avoid corporate bloat while projecting reliability for sales teams.
- Integrating everything smoothly: Brand, website and the actual software had to work as one cohesive experience.
Our Solution
We handled the whole thing in-house at Starbright.
- First, we nailed the brand identity. We went for a clean, modern look with strong typography and a colour palette that feels energetic but professional. The name “Leadtrekker” already had a nice ring to it, evoking tracking leads like a pro without overcomplicating things.
- The Logo and core brand elements: Simple, scalable mark that works small on apps or big on billboards. All with a South African feel.

A Website: Built from scratch with clear messaging, feature breakdown and pricing transparency. It’s fast, mobile-friendly and optimised to turn traffic into sign-ups.
- The SaaS platform itself: Custom-coded lead management system with features like easy lead capture, automation, response tracking, integrations and a dashboard that doesn’t overwhelm users.
Everything ties together under one consistent voice: straightforward, South African and built to help businesses close more deals without breaking the bank.
We also created basic brand guidelines to ensure consistency as the product grows.
