This competition is run by Starbright IT Solutions, hereafter referred to as “the Promoter”.
By entering this competition, all participants agree to be bound by these Terms and Conditions.
The prize consists of an informational website package valued at R20,000.
The competition is open to eligible businesses and individuals in South Africa, subject to the qualifying criteria set out below.
The Promoter reserves the right to amend, suspend, cancel, or terminate the competition should circumstances beyond its reasonable control require this.
Competition Period
The competition opens on 1 June 2026 and closes on 30 June 2026 at 23:59 SAST.
Entries received after the closing date and time will not be considered.
The winner will be selected and announced on 1 July 2026, unless otherwise communicated by the Promoter.
Who May Enter
The competition is open to South African residents aged 18 years or older.
Entrants must be legally authorised to represent the business, brand, or organisation for which the website will be created.
Employees, directors, contractors, agents, suppliers, service providers, or immediate family members of the Promoter may not enter.
The Promoter reserves the right to verify the eligibility of any participant or winner.
How to Enter
To enter, participants must follow the entry instructions communicated by the Promoter on Social Media & Email.
Only entries that meet all stated requirements will be considered valid.
Incomplete, incorrect, fraudulent, automated, or duplicate entries may be disqualified.
No purchase is required to enter, unless otherwise clearly stated in the competition communication.
The Prize
The winner will receive an informational website package valued at R20,000.
The prize includes:
A custom website design created in Figma.
Website copy included as part of the project scope.
Licensed images sourced for the website where required.
A website limited to a maximum of 5 pages.
Once-off SEO setup.
One revision round for content edits.
The website will be designed and developed as an informational website only.
The website will not include ecommerce functionality, booking systems, membership portals, payment gateways, client dashboards, advanced integrations, custom software, or web applications unless separately quoted and approved.
Prize Exclusions
The prize does not include a CMS.
The winner will not receive a content management system, admin dashboard, website editor, or backend editing functionality as part of the prize.
The prize does not include:
Domain registration.
Website hosting.
Email hosting.
Ongoing SEO.
Ongoing website maintenance.
Paid advertising.
Social media management.
Logo design.
Brand strategy.
Advanced animations.
Custom-coded interactive features.
Additional pages beyond the 5-page limit.
Additional revisions beyond the included revision round.
Any work requested outside the agreed prize scope will be quoted separately and charged at an hourly rate of R850 excluding VAT per hour, unless otherwise agreed in writing.
Website Scope
The website will be limited to a maximum of 5 pages.
The final page structure will be agreed between the Promoter and the winner before the project begins.

The Promoter reserves the right to recommend a page structure that best suits the winner’s business and the available prize scope.
Any additional pages, sections, functionality, content changes, design changes, or development requests beyond the prize scope will be charged at R850 excluding VAT per hour, unless otherwise agreed in writing.
Design, Copy and Images
The website design will be custom-created in Figma.
Website copy is included as part of the prize.
Licensed images will be sourced for the website where required.
The Promoter will select suitable licensed images based on the winner’s business, industry, brand direction, and website requirements.
The winner may provide their own images, logos, brand guidelines, documents, and existing content. The winner confirms that they have the legal right to use any materials they provide.
The Promoter will not be responsible for copyright, trademark, licensing, or ownership issues arising from materials supplied by the winner.
The Promoter reserves the right to decline the use of supplied content or imagery if it is poor quality, unlawful, offensive, misleading, inappropriate, or unsuitable for the website.
SEO
The prize includes once-off SEO setup.
Once-off SEO may include basic metadata, page titles, meta descriptions, heading structure, image alt text, and general on-page SEO setup, at the Promoter’s discretion.
The prize does not include ongoing SEO strategy, monthly SEO services, blog writing, link building, technical SEO audits, Google Business Profile management, Google Ads setup, or paid advertising.
The Promoter does not guarantee search engine rankings, website traffic, enquiries, leads, or sales as a result of the once-off SEO setup.
Revisions and Changes
The prize includes one revision round for content edits.
The revision round applies to reasonable content edits within the original agreed website scope.
Revisions must be submitted clearly and in writing within the timeframe provided by the Promoter.
Additional revision rounds, design changes, structural changes, new content, new pages, or changes outside the approved project scope will be billed at R850 excluding VAT per hour, unless otherwise agreed in writing.
The Promoter reserves the right to determine whether a requested change falls within the included revision round or qualifies as additional billable work.
Winner Selection and Notification
The winner will be selected by [method of selection, for example random draw / judging panel / best entry].
The Promoter’s decision is final, and no correspondence will be entered into.
The winner will be contacted via [email / telephone / social media / direct message].
If the winner cannot be contacted within [number of days] days, fails to respond, or does not provide the required project information, the Promoter reserves the right to select a new winner.
The winner may be required to provide proof of identity, proof of South African residency, business ownership, or authorisation to proceed with the website project.
Prize Use and Project Timelines
The winner must provide all requested information, approvals, assets, and feedback within the timelines supplied by the Promoter.
Delays in providing information, feedback, or approvals may delay the completion of the website.
If the winner does not provide the required information, feedback, or approvals within [number of days] days, the Promoter reserves the right to withdraw the prize or place the project on hold.
The website project timeline will depend on the availability of content, approvals, and project requirements.
The Promoter will not be responsible for delays caused by incomplete information, late feedback, third-party services, supplied assets, or factors outside its reasonable control.
Prize Conditions
The prize is not transferable.
The prize may not be exchanged for cash.
The prize may not be sold, transferred, substituted, or assigned to another person, business, or organisation without the Promoter’s written approval.
The Promoter reserves the right to substitute the prize with another prize of similar value should the advertised prize become unavailable for any reason.
Publicity
By entering the competition, participants agree that the Promoter may announce the winner publicly.
The winner agrees that their name, business name, logo, website, and project may be used for promotional purposes, including social media, website portfolios, case studies, and marketing material.
The winner may request that certain confidential business information not be published.
Personal Information
By entering the competition, participants consent to the collection and processing of their personal information for the purposes of administering the competition, contacting the winner, verifying eligibility, and delivering the prize.
Personal information will be processed in accordance with applicable South African data protection laws, including the Protection of Personal Information Act, 4 of 2013, where applicable.
The Promoter will not sell participants’ personal information to third parties.
Participants may be asked to opt in separately to receive marketing communication from the Promoter.
Participants may request access to, correction of, or deletion of their personal information by contacting the Promoter at info@starbright.co.za.
Disqualification
The Promoter reserves the right to disqualify any entrant who:
Provides false or misleading information.
Attempts to manipulate or abuse the competition.
Does not meet the eligibility requirements.
Fails to comply with these Terms and Conditions.
Acts unlawfully, offensively, or in a way that may damage the Promoter’s reputation.
Limitation of Liability
The Promoter will not be liable for any loss, damage, injury, cost, claim, or expense suffered by any participant or winner, except where such liability cannot be excluded by law.
The Promoter is not responsible for technical failures, lost entries, delayed messages, platform outages, internet connectivity issues, or any issue outside its reasonable control.
The winner accepts the prize at their own risk and acknowledges that any additional services required beyond the prize scope will be billed separately.
Nothing in these Terms and Conditions is intended to unlawfully limit or exclude any rights a participant may have under applicable South African law.
Platform Disclaimer
This competition is not sponsored, endorsed, administered by, or associated with Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn, TikTok, Google, Meta, or any other third-party platform unless expressly stated.
Participants release the relevant social media platform from any liability connected to the competition.
General
The Promoter reserves the right to amend these Terms and Conditions where necessary, provided that such amendments are reasonable and lawful.
These Terms and Conditions will be made available to participants on request and/or via www.starbright.co.za.
The competition will be governed by the laws of the Republic of South Africa.
Any dispute relating to the competition will be subject to the jurisdiction of the courts of South Africa.
