Website Domain Transfer General Terms & Conditions

  1. Backup Policy
    1. Xneelo has a reliable backup system, but please note that they only retain backups for two weeks. Clients are strongly advised to maintain their own backups.
  2. Client Responsibilities
    1. Clients must ensure that the domain to be transferred is unlocked and that the current registrar is informed of the upcoming transfer.
    2. A Transfer Request Document must be fully completed. Incomplete forms may cause delays in the transfer process.
    3. If the required information is not provided, the client must supply all necessary backups. The transfer will be scheduled only after the website backups have been received.
    4. Clients should mark any non-applicable sections of the Transfer Request Document as “N/A” or leave them blank.
  3. Transfer Duration and Downtime
    1. The domain transfer process usually takes between 2 to 24 hours; however, it may extend up to 7 days, depending on the policies of the current registrar.
    2. Temporary downtime may occur during the transfer period, which is beyond our control
    3. Starbright cannot be held responsible for domains that fail to transfer due to the imminent expiration of the transfer ticket.
  4. Monthly Maintenance Services
    1. If the website being transferred will utilise our monthly maintenance services, it will first undergo a thorough evaluation to provide a quote for site cleanup and optimisation.
  5. Security Measures
    1. Starbright employs robust security protocols during the transfer to ensure the integrity of the domain and data.
    2.  All data transfers are encrypted to protect against unauthorised access.
  6. Communication Protocol
    1. Clients will be assigned a dedicated point of contact during the transfer process.
    2. Regular updates will be provided via email or the preferred communication method.
  7. Contingency Plan
    1. In the event of a transfer failure or unforeseen issues, Starbright will implement a contingency plan to resolve the issue promptly.
    2. lients will be notified immediately of any issues and the steps being taken to address them.
  8. Post-Transfer Verification
    1. Once the transfer is complete, Starbright will perform a verification check to ensure that the website is functioning correctly.
    2. Clients will be asked to review and confirm that the transfer has been successful.

 

Email Domain Transfer General Terms & Conditions

  1. Backup Responsibility
    1.  Clients must back up their own email data prior to the transfer. While we offer support, it is ultimately the client’s responsibility to ensure their email data is secure.
  2. Email Hosting with Xneelo
    1. Clients must back up their own email data prior to the transfer. While we offer support, it is ultimately the client’s responsibility to ensure their email data is secure.
    2. Even though Xneelo has a reliable backup infrastructure, they only retain backups for 14 days. It is the client’s responsibility to back up their own email data.
    3. Xneelo retains emails on the server for 60 days.
  3. Email Credentials and Setup
    1. Starbright will supply the client with email credentials but is not responsible for the email setup on their PC or email applications.
    2. The client is responsible for configuring their email setup after the transfer. Email credentials will be provided.
    3. In the event where the client uses specific email clients such as Outlook, our team will assist in updating essential records such as SPF.
  4. Email Hosting with Other Providers
    1. When emails are hosted by a provider other than Xneelo, a propagation period of up to 24 hours applies, during which the client can expect downtime.

  5. DNS Record Configuration
    1. Starbright will handle the configuration of DNS records for services such as Google Apps and Office 365.
    2.  Clients must supply the required credentials and access to ensure accurate DNS record updates.
  6. Transfer Documentation
    1. The client must fully complete the Domain Transfer Document before the transfer can proceed. For any sections that are not applicable, please mark them as “N/A” or leave them blank.
